Background: Overweight or obesity is a major risk factor for maternal complications. Most western countries adhere to WHO guidelines for classifying obesity. In India, revised consensus Body Mass Indices (BMI) for Asian Indians are used for BMI classification. The present study aims to compare WHO and revised consensus BMI criteria for Asian Indians on the maternal outcome in overweight and obese women. Methodology: This was a retrospective study done in 399 women with singleton deliveries during a period of six months in a tertiary care center in South India. Data were gathered from medical records in accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Two proportion Z-test and Independent t test were used for the comparison between the WHO and revised consensus BMI for Asian Indian criteria. Results: Overweight/obesity prevalence was 40.60% as per WHO criteria and 63.91% as per Asian Indian criteria. Proportionate difference was significant for the parameters GDM, PIH, and preterm labor between obese and nonobese women in Asian Indian criteria. WHO criteria showed significant difference in GDM and PIH only (p <0.05). Preterm labor was found to be insignificant between both criteria among non-obese women (p>0.05). Conclusion: The study could not find statistically significant differences between the two criteria. As the body fat distribution in Asian Indians differs considerably from other ethnic groups, we recommend the use of revised consensus BMI for Asian Indians for BMI classification to prevent maternal morbidity and mortality. Key words: Revised Consensus BMI for Asian Indians, WHO BMI guideline, Overweight, Obesity, Pregnancy.

Introduction: Coronavirus-2019 (COVID-19) was considered a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) in March 2020, due to its rapid and persistent global spread. In order to combat the pandemic, the WHO has recommended barrier measures that have affected the lives of people in many countries. Objectives: The present study aims to determine the levels of knowledge, attitudes and practices related to barrier measures related to Covid-19 among secondary school students in the south of Benin during Physical and Sports Education (PSE) classes. Methods: This is a cross-sectional, descriptive and analytical study carried out among 1000 students, including 387 girls from secondary schools in the Littoral department in southern Benin, using a self-administered questionnaire. Results: The majority of the students surveyed showed average levels of knowledge (70%) and attitudes (66.6%) but a poor level of practice (0.0%) with regard to barrier measures at PSE or not. Conclusion: Awareness of the pandemic must therefore be reinforced among students in order to improve their knowledge, attitudes and practices in relation to compliance with the recommended barrier measures. This will help prevent PSE classes from spreading COVID-19 in Beninese schools. Key words: COVID-19, CAP survey, Barrier measures, Students, Physical and Sports Education. Key message: In Benin, physical and sports education favours physical contact in its delivery, thus facilitating the risks of exposure to COVID-19.

Integrating BCC with existing ICT System for TB: Nudge Early Detection and Treatment of Latent Tuberculosis in India- A Short Communication
http://dx.doi.org/10.5530/ijmedph.2022.1.8

To eliminate tuberculosis, One of the main subjects to be focused at present is Latent Tuberculosis Infection (LTBI) because it causes persistence of immunological response in humans to Mycobacterium tuberculosis antigen without manifesting any clinical sign and symptoms of active tuberculosis. If LTBI is not diagnosed and treated, it has been estimated that one in ten people with LTBI will get sick with tuberculosis infection. It has been a challenge to convince the contact and the target group to undergo screening as both TST and IGRA are an invasive procedure and to convince in apparently healthy (without any symptoms) individual to undergo screening is a foremost Potential barrier in the diagnosis of LTBI and initiating preventive treatment. The screening strategies must be coincide with appropriate individual (who are eligible candidate) and community level education to avoid any undesired harm for tested individuals, this can be achieved by Behavioral Change Communication (BCC). For more effective medium or channels to improve rate by utilizing and Nikshay portal may serve as an effective channel for BCC for early detection of latent tuberculosis and preventive treatment as it has suitable environment and support system to improve the success rate and to eliminate tuberculosis. Key words: Latent tuberculosis, Behavioral Change Communication, Integration with ICT, Nikshay portal, Tuberculosis elimination, Preventive tuberculosis treatment.
